C-2-1. Interface specifications

(a) Forward channel

The forward channel mode is the mode in which the widely used

Centronics interface is regulated.

• Data transfer method: 8 bit parallel

• Synchronizing system: Externally supplied nStrobe signal

• Handshake: nAck signal and Busy signal

• Signal level: All signals are TTL compatible.

(b) Reverse channel

The transfer of status data from the printer to the host is only carried in the

nibble mode.
